Purpose
This project aims to promote an innovative network in ageing and neurodegenerative diseases, connecting universities, research centres, healthcare and social organisations, companies, startups, investment funds, patient associations and caregivers’ groups. Through public-private collaboration and co-creation with affected people, family members and caregivers, it promotes knowledge transfer and the connection between research and business in strategic areas such as biotechnology, big data or artificial intelligence.
NEUROAGE pursues four main objectives: to transform scientific knowledge into solutions that improve the quality of life of the elderly; consolidate a collaborative and efficient R+D+I ecosystem; ensuring that innovations are implemented in integrated and community care; and to promote the active participation of citizens and the co-design of solutions and public policies. These axes make it possible to put ageing and neurodegenerative diseases at the centre of the innovation agenda with a real impact.
