NEUROAGE had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from ๐ฆ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ participating in the ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ, an initiative bringing together senior public officials interested in identifying innovative international approaches to population aging.
As one of the fastest-aging countries in the world, South Korea is actively exploring policies, technologies and community-driven initiatives that can support healthy aging, prevent cognitive decline, and improve quality of life across the life course.
During their visit at Vall dโHebron Institute of Research (VHIR) – Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca, we shared the work being carried out through NEUROAGE and the Barcelona Aging and Longevity Lab (BALL), discussing research, innovation, prevention, brain health, and the role of technology in addressing the challenges and opportunities of longer lives. We were also delighted to be joined by Alejandra De La Cruz Trillo from Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili, who presented experiences in innovation and citizen participation in health and care services.
These exchanges are a reminder that aging is a global challenge, and that solutions emerge through ๐ฐ๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, dialogue and knowledge sharing across countries, sectors and disciplines.
We are proud to contribute to these conversations and to showcase initiatives that seek to create healthier, more inclusive and age-friendly societies.
