Great conversations at the ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ข๐ต ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ต๐ช๐ฆ๐ณ event in Barcelona, hosted by Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA), Nucleate Spain, and ATG SynBio Spain.
One theme kept coming up across very different discussions: breakthrough science doesn’t just need great researchers, it also needs ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ around it.
From new approaches to doctoral training, to venture creation models like Deep Science Ventures, to Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA)‘s bold Programme Director model, the focus was on creating environments whereย ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฏ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต ๐๐ผ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น-๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐.
It was also great to see such a strong mix of researchers, founders, innovators and venture-minded people in the room.
Thanks Carlos Navarrete-Llamas for the invitation and to the Nucleate Spain, Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA), and ATG SynBio Spain teams for organizing such a forward-thinking event.
It was also a pleasure to meet Alice Pettitt, Anna Bandura, Lourdes Arena in person, and to learn from the great perspectives shared by Daniela Pamias Lopez and Eimear Byrne on hashtagaging-related challenges and opportunities, alongside Brian Wang‘s insights into ARIA’s model for supporting frontier research.
